Nylon (PA6, PA66, PA1010, PA610, PA612, PA11, PA12, PA121, PA46, PA9, etc.) is an engineering plastic that often seen which is a polymer in a form of semitransparent or opaque pellet or granule that features great abrasion resistance, tensile strength, impact resistance, chemical resistance, and is used in automotive industry (fuel filter, oil sump, radiator water tank), electronics industry (switch, vacuum cleaner, binding post), textile industry, wire/cable, etc. Yet, nylon is an inflammable material.
GY-FRE-450 is microencapsulated red phosphorus masterbatch specially for nylon/PA which imparts phenomenal flame retardant performance to nylon products. By using nylon resin as its carrier, GY-FRE450 is wrapped by using encapsulation technology to prevent the red phosphorus from moisture absorption, reduce its activity, improve the compatibility, and remain a high concentration of active flame retardant component. GY-FRE-450 shows excellent thermal stability, electrical performance, mechanical behavior, compatibility, and dispersivity. Additionally, GY-FRE450 is with ease of handling and incorporation while it can directly compound with plastic pellets and will not cause dust formation or migration during processing.
