PFOS/PFOA free water-repellent GOYENCHEM-S196

C6 and C8 water repellents have been commonly used in textile industry for years. Nowadays, as the growth of awareness of environmental protection, textile manufacturing companies have a keen demand for C0 fluorine-free water repellent. GOYENCHEM-S196, a fluorine-free water repellent, is designed for the idea of environmental protection and is specifically for the textile industry.
Once the textile is processed with GOYENCHEM-S196, it will own excellent self-cleaning properties (the lotus effect) due to the water repellent’s nanostructure. It is developed for any kinds of textiles and provides exceptional water repellency especially for mixture fabric. GOYENCHEM-S196 features excellent processing properties which will not affect the textile coating or soft touch that is highly required while most of the fluorine-free water repellent agents cause the fabric defect of Chalk mark on the surface.
It is safe in operation and PFOA/PFOS-free, GOYENCHEM-S196 meets the standard of environmental protection from textile manufacturing companies in the U.S., Europe, Korea, and Japan.

 Processing Method

GOYENCHEM-S196A

Dosage vary based on the type of the fabric:

Nylon 45-100 g/L

Polyester 35-100 g/L

Method: pad-batch under 3 Kg/cm2 in room temperature

Setting: 150~180℃* 1-3 mins

The effect of water-repellency will improve if prolong the duration of drying and setting procedures

GOYENCHEM-S196B

The dosage is 5-10% of corresponding GOYENCHEM-S196A to improve the durability in washing

 

  • The following recommended dosage is to be regarded as general guideline which is provided and conducted by various manufacturers with different applications. Trial before the mass production is suggested for the reason that the dosage may be varied due to the type of equipment, textile, processing method, and the environment.

 

 

Precautions before applying

 

  1. Please adjust the pH scale to weak acid below 7, and it is recommended to adjust to 4.5-6.
  2. When diluting, please use water below 40°C, and the temperature of the working fluid is preferably within 40°C.
  3. The processing cloth must be cleaned to avoid residues of pre-treatment auxiliaries.
  4. When using other additives such as antistatic agents, softeners, and penetrants in combination, it is necessary to confirm the compatibility in advance.
  5. Please confirm the hues before processing. The chalk mark recommend be processed the calendering if necessary.
  6. Please use GOYENCHEM-S196 as soon as possible to avoid re-use.
  7. Store in the range of 5~40℃ to avoid direct sunlight and freezing. The quality will be affected by long-term high temperature condition.
